In the hands of Hill and May audiences sit back, relax, and fall spellbound as she shares stories of her very average ordinary daily existence. May’s command of the stage for two hours is impressive. Her Shirley is comfortable, relaxed, and easy to get familiar with. She evolves into a wise and trusted old friend.

This romantic comedy is directed by Brittany Everitt Smith, and tells the story of Doris and George, who are married, but not to each other. They first meet in 1951 and begin an affair that spans 24 years.

The 34th Annual Erwin Piscator Awards Ceremony will be held in Munich on August 27, 2021.

The sequel will serve as the first of three new films in the franchise, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It will be released in theaters on October 13, 2023.
